Darnell Mooney's improved practice status gives the Giants a chance to broaden their passing attack without forcing targets.

New York Giants wide receiver Darnell Mooney upgraded to full practice participation on Thursday after dealing with a neck injury. Writer Alexander Wilson argues that a healthier Mooney could allow the Giants to expand their passing plan and test more productive opportunities, rather than relying excessively on primary targets Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely.
Mooney has totaled eight catches for 109 yards through five games this season, including two catches against Washington. Wilson notes that while Jameis Winston should not force targets, utilizing Mooney effectively could help counter defenses focusing heavily on Nabers and Likely, especially with offensive linemen Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor missing practice.
