The New York Giants placed defensive lineman Chauncey Golston on injured reserve on Saturday due to a neck injury. The 28-year-old was injured during the team's Week 4 victory against the Arizona Cardinals and missed all practices leading up to the Week 5 contest against the Washington Commanders. Head coach John Harbaugh indicated the injury is serious and may require an extended recovery.
The injured reserve designation guarantees that Golston will miss at least the next four games. Golston originally signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the Giants in March 2025 after spending four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to the injury, he had appeared in all four games for New York during the 2026 campaign.
