New York Giants's head coach John Harbaugh has found an "awesome" new way to use a draft bust in an unlikely area of the team.

New York Giants tight end Theo Johnson has found a productive new niche as a core special teams contributor under head coach John Harbaugh and coordinator Chris Horton. Despite struggling to make an impact as a primary receiving tight end after being drafted in 2024, Johnson has logged 71 special teams snaps across five different units this season.
However, Johnson will miss Sunday's Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints due to a neck injury. Heavy reports that Johnson's physical presence on coverage and return units will be missed alongside his role in multi-tight-end offensive sets.
