John Harbaugh has taken responsibility for the New York Giants' decision to release veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after just three games. Beckham played only 20 offensive snaps and logged one target without a reception during his second stint with the franchise. Harbaugh stated that the coaching staff could not find a way to get him involved, asking people to put the blame on the team.
Harbaugh emphasized that the departure was not due to Beckham's character or relationship with the team, wishing him well in finding a new opportunity. Following the roster move, the Giants promoted receivers Braxton Berrios and Charlie Jones from the practice squad, leaning on their special teams versatility to support an offense featuring Malik Nabers and Darnell Mooney.
