The New York Jets have opened the 21-day practice window for wide receiver Tim Patrick, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Patrick was placed on injured reserve prior to the start of the regular season after suffering a groin injury, and the team now has three weeks to activate him to the 53-man roster.
Patrick signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Jets in May. His potential return provides needed depth for New York's receiving corps, which is currently dealing with rookie Omar Cooper Jr. being on injured reserve and Adonai Mitchell nursing a finger injury.
