After T'Vondre Sweat suffered an injury in the New York Jets' Week 7 loss to the Dolphins, an opportunity presented itself for rookie DL Darrell Jackson Jr.

New York Jets defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat suffered a knee injury during the team's 28-25 loss to the Miami Dolphins, opening up significant playing time for rookie Darrell Jackson Jr. Sweat was hurt in the second quarter following accidental contact from teammate Dane Belton during a tackle attempt on Malik Willis.
Matt O'Leary of The Jet Press argues that Jackson is primed to take over the nose tackle role while Sweat misses time. Jackson has posted an 11.4 percent run-stop rate across 40 percent of defensive snaps this season, also tallying a sack, four pressures, and two batted passes over his past three games.
