The Green Bay Packers have signed offensive lineman Mekhi Becton to their active roster from the practice squad. The move comes following the team's Week 7 loss to the Detroit Lions, with depth guard Jacob Monk being placed on injured reserve to open a spot.
Becton originally joined the Packers' practice squad on September 28 after stints with the Jets, Eagles, and Chargers. Writer Parker Hurley notes that Becton provides depth at both tackle and guard, positioning him alongside veteran Kevin Zeitler as a candidate to potentially enter the starting lineup at right guard.
