Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean was once thought of as one of the NFL's best, but 2026 is exposing him in the worst way and could be losing money.

Inside the Iggles writer Anthony Miller argues that Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean is hurting his future contract value following a regression during the 2026 NFL season. Miller highlights DeJean's struggles in a 25-14 Week 6 loss to the Carolina Panthers, citing missed tackles against Chuba Hubbard and allowing a 19-yard touchdown to Tommy Tremble.
According to Pro Football Focus, DeJean holds an overall grade of 56.7 and has logged 13 missed tackles through five games. While noting that calf and abdominal injuries suffered in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders might be lingering, Miller asserts that DeJean must improve over the remaining games to secure a lucrative extension before reaching free agency after 2027.
