The Philadelphia Eagles released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants, upgrading running back Saquon Barkley to limited participation. Barkley had sat out Wednesday's session due to hamstring and back issues. Meanwhile, wide receivers DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, and Britain Covey remained among several players who did not practice, leaving Philadelphia potentially short-handed at receiver.
Writer Brandon Lee Gowton questioned the wisdom of playing Barkley while visibly hampered instead of resting him ahead of the Week 10 bye. For the Giants, leading rusher Cam Skattebo missed practice again with a hamstring issue, while receiver Malik Nabers also sat out Thursday due to a knee injury but stated he expects to play on Sunday.
