The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly waiving tight end E.J. Jenkins, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo. Jenkins made the team's initial 53-man roster in late August and served as a depth option at the position, playing primarily as a blocker and on special teams across six appearances.
The roster decision leaves Dallas Goedert and Johnny Mundt as the remaining tight ends on Philadelphia's active roster. The move comes as the team exhausts practice squad elevations for veteran Zach Ertz, potentially opening a spot for his addition.
