The Eagles on Sunday managed just 35 rushing yards on 13 carries. Which is terrible. It’s also an improvement over last weekend. There are a lot of things the Eagles aren’t very good at right now, and running the football is…

The Philadelphia Eagles' rushing offense has reached historically low levels during their recent slump, managing just 57 yards on 31 carries over consecutive losses to the Jaguars and Panthers. The 1.84 yards per carry mark represents only the second time since 1955 that Philadelphia has recorded under 2.0 yards per carry and fewer than 60 total rushing yards across a two-game span. Against Carolina, the team ran just 13 times for 35 yards.
Injuries have heavily depleted the Eagles' backfield, sidelining Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Carson Steele. Head coach Nick Sirianni cited trailing the Panthers on the scoreboard as the reason for abandoning the ground attack, though left tackle Jordan Mailata acknowledged the offensive line must execute better. Philadelphia now averages just 82 rushing yards per game this season.
