Philadephia quarterback Jalen Hurts will be able to return to football once he's off blood thinners, the team and his agent said.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli. Hurts is currently clinically stable, but his prescribed treatment requires blood thinners, preventing him from playing football until completion. He is expected to return to action once his medical treatment concludes.
Hurts was initially diagnosed with left calf superficial vein thrombosis on October 10 before subsequent testing revealed movement in the clot. The setback comes amid a challenging 2-4 start for head coach Nick Sirianni's squad, with backup quarterback Tanner McKee taking over as starter ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
