Like the leaders who came before him, Eagles captain Jordan Mailata remains stoic as the Birds are sliding. But he's running out of answers.
Geoff Mosher of PhillyVoice argues that offensive tackle Jordan Mailata is striving to provide leadership for the Philadelphia Eagles amid a worsening spiral. The Eagles suffered a 25-14 defeat to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, marking their fourth straight loss and their first such skid under head coach Nick Sirianni. Facing severe offensive struggles, the team has been outscored 95-58 during the four-game losing streak.
Mosher highlights that the Eagles are grappling with extensive roster depletion, missing key injured contributors such as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and Landon Dickerson. Defensive tackle Jordan Davis also sustained an ankle injury during Sunday's game. Mailata urged teammates to avoid pointing fingers, maintain discipline, and view the team's ongoing adversity as an opportunity for younger players to step up.
