The NFL Players Association has called for a full investigation into the medical care provided to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. The union stated that determining the facts is essential for player protection, following reports that the NFL did not plan to review the care Hurts received.
Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the 2026 season after blood clots were discovered in his lungs. He previously played with a calf blood clot in Week 5 in London before being placed on injured reserve to begin treatment with blood thinners.
