Jalen Hurts is currently out for the season with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli diagnoses. The development blew up into a massive controversy for the Eagles, as Hurts seemed to have played the Jacksonville game with a blood…

ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler suggested that Jalen Hurts may have played his last down for the Philadelphia Eagles. Hurts is currently on injured reserve and out for the season following diagnoses of deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli. Fowler noted on the Rich Eisen Show that rival teams consider Hurts' tenure in Philadelphia tenuous, despite $22 million guaranteed on his contract next year.
The diagnosis sparked controversy after Hurts played against Jacksonville with a blood clot initially thought to be superficial. Head coach Nick Sirianni expressed faith in the team's medical staff while transitioning to backup quarterback Tanner McKee. Medical experts noted Hurts faces months of blood-thinner treatment, adding uncertainty to his future despite the team's optimistic prognosis.
