Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been officially ruled out of Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring injury. Barkley initially sustained the injury against the Los Angeles Rams during Week 4. Through four games this season, he has compiled 182 rushing yards on 36 carries.
Barkley's absence compounds major depth issues for the Eagles at running back. Backup Tank Bigsby is currently on injured reserve, while Will Shipley is dealing with a foot injury. Former Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce is expected to lead the Philadelphia backfield in Barkley's place.
