The Philadelphia Eagles have placed quarterback Jalen Hurts on injured reserve due to a superficial blood clot in his calf. Hurts will miss at least the next four games and is reportedly sidelined for the foreseeable future. If cleared, his earliest potential return date would be on November 22 against the Pittsburgh Steelers following Philadelphia's bye week.
According to the team, the injury occurred after Hurts was cleated during an October 4 game against the Rams, with follow-up scans later showing movement in the clot. Tanner McKee is set to start in Hurts' absence, with Cole Payton backing him up and Joe Milton III signed to provide additional depth.
