Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace wants to see GM Omar Khan get back to the team’s roots at the position.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace stated that the franchise needs to return to drafting and developing homegrown receivers. Speaking on "The Matchup" podcast, Wallace argued that general manager Omar Khan should adopt former GM Kevin Colbert's approach of targeting players with the right mentality and heart rather than relying on veteran trades.
Wallace cited his era alongside Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown as a blueprint Pittsburgh should replicate. The article notes that Khan acquired DK Metcalf via trade from Seattle last year, but Metcalf has struggled to establish consistency.
