Steelers Depot analyst Ross McCorkle reports that Pittsburgh Steelers rookie offensive tackle Max Iheanachor made major technical corrections against the Indianapolis Colts just ten days after struggling against the Cleveland Browns. McCorkle highlights how Iheanachor, who previously had severe issues defending against speed-to-power moves, rapidly adapted his technique in pass protection.
McCorkle observes that Iheanachor successfully integrated snatch-and-trap techniques to neutralize bull rushes, batting down inside long-arm punches thrown by Colts edge rushers. While noting the rookie still requires technical refinement to consistently anchor, McCorkle argues this rapid adjustment signals strong long-term developmental upside for the first-round tackle.
