The New York Giants are releasing running back Najee Harris after a two-month stint, according to multiple reports. Harris appeared in five games for New York, tallying 31 carries for 99 yards and a 3.2-yard average. During Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints, he rushed four times for two yards.
Harris's release follows post-game comments regarding head coach John Harbaugh's heavy backfield rotation, which also featured Tyrone Tracy, Devin Singletary, and Cam Skattebo. A 2021 first-round pick who spent four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and briefly joined the Los Angeles Chargers, Harris is now seeking another NFL roster spot.
