Matthew Stafford, Quentin Lake and other Rams players react to Jaylen Watson's season-ending shoulder surgery and reveal his impact on the locker room.

Los Angeles Rams players and coaches expressed their heartbreak following starting cornerback Jaylen Watson's season-ending shoulder surgery on Wednesday. Head coach Sean McVay explained that undergoing surgery was the right decision because another shoulder dislocation carried significant risk of further damage. Quarterback Matthew Stafford, team captain Quentin Lake, and linebacker Byron Young highlighted Watson's critical role as an enforcer and vowed to dedicate the remainder of the season to him.
Teammates Josh Wallace and Emmanuel Forbes Jr. noted the difficulty of losing Watson, with Forbes expected to take on additional secondary responsibilities alongside Wallace. Despite the injury, Lake stated that Watson's leadership and football intelligence will continue to support the defense from the sidelines throughout his recovery.
