The 49ers are probably regretting signing Christian Kirk last offseason in light of his injuries and inability to contribute.

Niner Noise argues that wide receiver Christian Kirk's free-agent signing with the San Francisco 49ers has aged poorly due to recurring injuries and lack of production. Kirk suffered a training camp hamstring injury that kept him out for six weeks, only to later suffer a meniscus injury ahead of Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Kirk's absence, leaving his surgical status uncertain.
The writer notes that Kirk joined on a one-year, $3 million contract featuring $2.78 million guaranteed. Despite widespread injuries to 49ers receivers including Deebo Samuel, Mike Evans, and De'Zhaun Stribling, Kirk managed just 20 offensive snaps with no targets in Week 7 before being sidelined once again.
