The San Francisco 49ers are hopeful to get a handful of reinforcements back at practice next week. One of those players expected to return in the near future is Mike Evans, who missed Week 7 with multiple injuries. It didn’t…

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch provided an update on wide receiver Mike Evans, who missed Week 7 with an Achilles issue. Speaking on KNBR, Lynch stated that the team's priority is to quiet the injury down before bringing him back. He noted that unlike Christian McCaffrey's bilateral issue in 2025, Evans is only managing the condition on one side.
Lynch refrained from committing to a specific return date for Evans at practice next week, emphasizing a big-picture approach to ensure full health. Kyle Posey suggests San Francisco could potentially rest Evans through upcoming matchups against weaker defenses to keep him healthy for late-season games.
