The San Francisco 49ers need to be careful with Mike Evans and should start limiting him like they have with Christian McCaffrey.

Writer Nick San Miguel argues that San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan should place wide receiver Mike Evans on a pitch count similar to running back Christian McCaffrey. Evans has recently played through broken ribs and reportedly missed practice due to Achilles soreness ahead of a matchup against the Washington Commanders.
San Miguel contends that the 49ers must preserve the 33-year-old receiver to keep him healthy for the postseason. Noting Evans played 38 of 60 snaps against Seattle, the writer suggests limiting his early-season workload to roughly two-thirds of snaps to prevent serious injury.
