The NFL has rescinded a $14,926 fine previously issued to San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk. The league initially penalized Juszczyk following a Week 2 victory over the Miami Dolphins, ruling that his celebration violated league rules by imitating chugging a beer. However, the NFL withdrew the fine after accepting that Juszczyk was actually simulating drinking a juice box, which directly aligns with his longtime nickname, Juice.
Juszczyk publicly criticized the initial penalty, pointing out the league's hypocrisy regarding alcohol sponsorships like Bud Light. The fullback clarified to reporters that he has celebrated by drinking juice for years without issue. 49ers tight end George Kittle also made light of the situation, jokingly suggesting that the team sign a petition to change Juszczyk's nickname to Beer.
