Power Rankings: Where the 49ers Stand Entering Week 5

The San Francisco 49ers earned the No. 1 spot across multiple national Week 5 power rankings following a 24-14 victory over the Denver Broncos. The win moved San Francisco to a 4-0 record on the season to close out an undefeated three-game homestand. Major outlets including NFL Network, ESPN, CBS Sports, The Athletic, and FOX Sports all ranked the 49ers as the top team in the league.

Analysts highlighted quarterback Brock Purdy's strong performances alongside key contributions from Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel Sr., and George Kittle. The consensus top ranking comes despite multiple roster injuries, including defensive lineman Nick Bosa being sidelined with a calf issue, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall being out for the season, and rookie receiver De'Zhaun Stribling facing a 10-week absence. Next, San Francisco travels to play the Seattle Seahawks.
