The 49ers reportedly had a trade agreement with the Vikings to bring Jauan Jennings back, but the receiver rejected the reunion. Here's what happened.

A potential trade sending wide receiver Jauan Jennings from the Minnesota Vikings back to the San Francisco 49ers reportedly fell apart after the veteran declined a reunion. According to NFL insider Jay Glazer, the two franchises had a trade agreement in place ahead of the deadline, but the move collapsed when Jennings indicated he had no interest in returning to the Bay Area.
Jennings spent his first six NFL seasons with San Francisco after being drafted in 2020, becoming a key target for quarterback Brock Purdy in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Following contentious contract negotiations and a previous trade request, Jennings left in the offseason to sign a one-year deal with Minnesota worth up to $13 million.
