As a duo, Purdy and Evans rank fourth among NFL quarterback-receiver combinations with a 148.5 passer rating and +1.06 EPA per play, while averaging 13.2 yards per target.
Out of Evans' 27 receptions on the season, 25 have resulted in a first down or a touchdown. Aponte argues that Evans is the most vital piece of the 49ers' offense, noting that San Francisco will need him healthy down the stretch to compete for a championship.
