The Seattle Seahawks received a potentially concerning update on one of their most important defensive players three days before a divisional showdown with the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers.Defensive tackle Leonard Williams didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice because of the ankle…

Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Leonard Williams missed Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury suffered during a 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The downgrade came after Williams participated on a limited basis Wednesday. Head coach Mike Macdonald had expressed optimism earlier in the week, but Williams' absence raises questions ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.
Williams has started all four games in 2026, recording three sacks and 11 tackles after signing a three-year, $90 million extension. Seattle will release its final injury report on Friday before hosting San Francisco at Lumen Field.
