The Seattle Seahawks have ruled out wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and running back Velus Jones Jr during their Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Shaheed suffered a knee injury just before halftime following a collision with teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba on a Sam Darnold interception. He did not return for the second half, with Tory Horton taking over his special teams return responsibilities.
Jones was subsequently ruled out in the second half after sustaining a hamstring injury. His departure left Seattle with only George Holani and Emanuel Wilson as available running backs for the rest of the game, as the Seahawks held a 13-3 lead entering the fourth quarter.
