Seattle released Velus Jones Jr., making another backfield move after Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price returned from injuries.

The Seattle Seahawks released running back Velus Jones Jr. on Friday, November 6, according to the NFL transaction wire. The move came after Zach Charbonnet made his season debut and Jadarian Price returned from injured reserve against the Chicago Bears. Jones had been dealing with a hamstring injury suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs and was listed under vested veteran terminations without an injury settlement.
Jones finished his Seattle tenure with nine carries for 28 yards across six appearances. His departure marks Seattle's second running back move this week following the release of Robert Henry Jr. Charbonnet's return from an ACL tear and Price's recovery from a chest injury have restored depth to the Seahawks' backfield.
