The Cowboys are activating Pro Bowl left guard from injured reserve to play Thursday night against the Buccaneers, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Dallas Cowboys are activating Pro Bowl left guard Tyler Smith from injured reserve ahead of their Thursday night matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a report from Ian Rapoport. The contest will mark Smith's season debut after he missed the first four games following thumb surgery.
Smith suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb during a joint practice with the New Orleans Saints. He underwent surgery last month and will wear a protective cast upon his return, replacing T.J. Bass in the starting lineup.
