The Eagles have decided to place Jalen Hurts on injured reserve after consultations with numerous doctors and experts, sources told ESPN and NFL Network.

The Philadelphia Eagles placed quarterback Jalen Hurts on injured reserve after consulting with doctors regarding a calf blood clot, sidelining him indefinitely. Hurts will miss upcoming matchups against the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and New York Giants. The team plans to fully re-evaluate his condition during their Week 10 bye.
Backup quarterback Tanner McKee will start against Carolina, with Cole Payton serving as backup and Joe Milton recently signed off Dallas' practice squad. The injury adds to Philadelphia's mounting offensive issues, which include injuries to Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith alongside widespread production declines across the unit.
