The Pittsburgh Steelers are placing receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) on injured reserve, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Saturday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers placed wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. on injured reserve on Saturday due to an aggravated foot injury. Head coach Mike McCarthy previously stated that Pittman reinjured his foot during Wednesday's practice and is expected to miss multiple weeks. Pittman had been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, which also kept him out of Week 2.
Pittman joined the Steelers in a March trade from the Indianapolis Colts before signing a three-year, $59 million extension. His placement on injured reserve comes just before Pittsburgh faces his former team on Sunday.
