The Story in 60 Seconds

CBS Sports' Josh Edwards identified cornerback as the Pittsburgh Steelers' top trade deadline need following the team's trade of Joey Porter Jr. to the Dallas Cowboys. With Pittsburgh holding a 5-2 record behind quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Edwards suggested five external targets to bolster the secondary: Riq Woolen, Donte Jackson, Alontae Taylor, Amik Robertson, and Nahshon Wright.

Pittsburgh traded Porter on October 1 in exchange for two future draft picks, leaving Jamel Dean, Asante Samuel Jr., and rookie Daylen Everette with increased workloads. While NFL insider Jordan Schultz previously reported Pittsburgh is exploring additions at both cornerback and wide receiver, the Steelers have until the November 10 deadline to make further roster upgrades.
