The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face a condensed preparation schedule ahead of their Thursday night game against the Dallas Cowboys. Rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels has limited time to prepare for his second career NFL start and first on the road, while the offense under coordinator Zac Robinson attempts to fix recent struggles involving running back usage and getting wide receiver Emeka Egbuka open.
Defensively, the Buccaneers face serious concerns with safety Antoine Winfield Jr. expected to miss multiple weeks due to a rib injury. Tampa Bay will lean on safety Tykee Smith and cornerback Jacob Parrish in the secondary, while also needing more pass rush production from interior defensive lineman Calijah Kancey against the high-scoring Cowboys offense.
