Jermaine Johnson’s inflated Titans role is coming at the wrong players’ expense

The Tennessee Titans acquired defensive end Jermaine Johnson II from the New York Jets in an offseason trade that sent T'Vondre Sweat in exchange. Through the first two weeks of the season, Johnson has struggled to produce effectively under head coach Robert Saleh despite receiving substantial playing time on defense.

Johnson leads all Titans defensive ends with 93 snaps through Week 2, while Jacob Martin has logged 80 snaps. Younger pass rushers Keldric Faulk and Femi Oladejo have received significantly fewer opportunities, recording 39 and 36 snaps respectively.
