John Harbaugh wants to see the Giants upgraded, even if he has to do the upgrading himself.

Giants head coach John Harbaugh directly called Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk to attempt to broker a trade for defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, according to The Athletic. The unconventional call occurred after Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi rebuffed an initial trade inquiry from Giants general manager Joe Schoen. Strunk initially delivered the same refusal to trade the star defensive tackle.
Tennessee eventually changed its stance and traded Simmons to the Chicago Bears for multiple draft picks. The first-place Giants (4-2-1) remain in search of deadline upgrades, reportedly showing interest in Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor as they aim to bolster their roster following the prior trade of Dexter Lawrence.
