Layman: Ward’s Bad Throw Another Missed Opportunity for QB, Titans

Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans fell to 0-3 after a 12-7 loss to the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. Trailing late, Tennessee drove 70 yards to reach a first-and-goal at the Giants' seven-yard line with under 30 seconds remaining. However, Ward rolled left and attempted an end-zone pass to Elic Ayomanor, which was intercepted by Jevon Holland to secure the win for New York.

After the game, Ward stated that he should have thrown the pass higher while acknowledging that throwing it out of bounds was another option. Tennessee struggled offensively for much of the contest, fumbling the opening kickoff and posting five consecutive three-and-outs before Ward connected with Wan'Dale Robinson for a four-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
