One Houston Texans insider offered candid thoughts about a potential Nico Collins trade, including to an AFC rival.

Houston Chronicle insider Jonathan M. Alexander addressed trade speculation surrounding wide receiver Nico Collins, stating that the chances of the Houston Texans trading him before the November 10 deadline are extremely low. Despite media speculation linking Collins to the Kansas City Chiefs, Alexander explained that Houston would not trade the receiver to an AFC rival they consider an obstacle to reaching the Super Bowl.
Alexander noted that Collins' future will likely be determined during the next offseason, when general manager Nick Caserio might evaluate trade interest before making an extension decision. Injuries across the Texans' receiver group, including season-ending ailments for Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, further reduce the likelihood of Houston parting ways with Collins during the 2026 campaign.
