The Giants have maintained all along that they have three starting-caliber inside linebackers, and now Tremaine Edmunds’ season-ending right shoulder injury is going to put that theory to the test.

New York Giants inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will miss the remaining 11 games of the season due to a right shoulder injury. Edmunds sustained the injury while attempting to tackle New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller late in last week's game. The loss leaves New York without its leading tackler and defensive signal-caller for the rest of the campaign.
Edmunds joins quarterback Jaxson Dart and edge rusher Brian Burns on the Giants' list of season-ending injuries. Head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that reserve linebacker Micah McFadden is set to take over starting duties, while also likely assuming defensive play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson alongside rookie Arvell Reese.
