Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz will start Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills with Kyler Murray ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback Carson Wentz will start Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Kevin O'Connell announced Thursday. Starter Kyler Murray has been ruled out after sustaining a strained hamstring during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 19-15 loss to the Detroit Lions.
O'Connell stated that Murray's status is considered week-to-week and the team is not considering placing him on injured reserve. Wentz, who joined the Vikings in August 2025, holds a 4-3 record across seven appearances with Minnesota.
