Washington Commanders backup quarterback Marcus Mariota has been voted the FedEx Air Player of the Week after leading his team to a victory against the Seattle Seahawks. Starting in place of injured quarterback Jayden Daniels, Mariota delivered an efficient passing performance, recording 19 completions for 183 yards, three touchdowns, zero turnovers, and a 110.0 passer rating.
In addition to his passing production, Mariota sealed the win by converting a critical third down with a late fourth-quarter rushing play. Daniels was the previous Washington player to earn the weekly honor, winning it three times during his 2024 rookie season.
