Brock Purdy? Josh Allen? Or maybe even a non-QB? Sixteen execs and coaches voted on the top five contenders for the MVP award through six weeks.

A poll of 16 NFL front office executives, coaches, and personnel personnel evaluated the top MVP contenders through the first six weeks of the 2026 season. Quarterbacks Brock Purdy of the 6-0 San Francisco 49ers and Josh Allen of the 5-1 Buffalo Bills emerged as early favorites. The top-five ballot also featured non-quarterbacks, including running backs Kenneth Walker III and Bijan Robinson alongside wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Purdy leads the NFL with an 83.1 QBR and 14 passing touchdowns, while Allen pace the league with 17 total touchdowns. Walker's 665 rushing yards have anchored the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs, and Robinson has produced 641 rushing yards for Atlanta. Seattle's Smith-Njigba remains on a historic pace, leading the league in receptions and receiving touchdowns.
