Indianapolis Colts rookie running back Seth McGowan received offensive snaps and carries ahead of starter Jonathan Taylor to give the superstar a breather. During Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders in London, McGowan converted a fourth-and-1 run near midfield to secure a first down.
According to Billy Heyen, McGowan's usage was not caused by an injury to Taylor but was a strategic move to integrate the rookie back. Colts head coach Shane Steichen previously indicated that the 2026 seventh-round draft pick would gradually see offensive work behind Taylor.
