Ducks News and Notes: Season Preview

The Anaheim Ducks open their regular season against the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 2 with a heavily reworked, youthful squad led by head coach Joel Quenneville. Mikael Granlund has been named the team's new captain following the offseason trade of Radko Gudas, with Leo Carlsson, Alex Killorn, Jackson LaCombe, and Troy Terry serving as alternates. Lukas Dostal and Ville Husso will serve as the team's goaltenders.
