The Anaheim Ducks were able to score the opening goal in their first five games this season, but have not been seizing control of late in a four-game losing streak.
The Anaheim Ducks aim to snap a four-game losing streak and establish better starts when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night in Newark. After beginning the season 4-1-0 while consistently scoring first, Anaheim has dropped four straight contests, most recently falling 3-2 to the New York Islanders on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Devils have won three of their past four games following a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. New Jersey received a boost in that win from returning forwards Luke Evangelista, who recorded a goal and an assist, and Connor Brown, who tallied an assist in his season debut.
