Gavin McKenna is learning what it takes to be a pro, and with that comes the confidence to do things like score game-winners and come through when your team needs it. Luke Fox has the story after the Maple Leafs…

Rookie Gavin McKenna scored the decisive third-period goal to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-1 comeback victory over the San Jose Sharks on Monday. The teenager received a pass from captain Auston Matthews before scoring his third career NHL goal, helping Toronto snap their recent losing streak.
Matthews recorded a three-point performance with an equalizing goal and two assists, including Nick Paul's late empty-netter. San Jose originally took an early lead through Mason Marchment, but Toronto secured the win supported by goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and a flawless 4-for-4 penalty kill.
