“It’s helping me just kind of feel more comfortable, settle in earlier, and I have to give all the older guys all the credit."

Boston Bruins rookie forward James Hagens is settling quickly into the NHL, recording five goals and 10 points through his first 14 games of the season. The 19-year-old scored Boston's lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, matching David Pastrnak for the team lead in 5-on-5 points with nine.
Hagens credited the welcoming environment of the Bruins' locker room and the support of veteran players, including team captain Pastrnak, for his seamless transition. Dating back to last season, Hagens reached five goals and five assists in just 16 games, becoming the fastest Bruins teenager to do so since Patrice Bergeron in 2003.
