Bruins Announce Eight Training Camp Cuts

The Boston Bruins announced eight training camp roster transactions on Friday as they trim their squad ahead of opening day on September 29. Joey Abate will report to Providence Bruins training camp, while Attilio Biasca and Ivan Ivan have been assigned to Providence. Meanwhile, Brendan Gaunce, Brian Halonen, Jordan Harris, Jiri Patera, and Billy Sweezey were placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the AHL.

This marks the second major wave of cuts made by the Bruins during camp, following assignments earlier in the week. The five players placed on waivers bring professional experience to Providence if they clear, including defenseman Jordan Harris, AHL veteran Billy Sweezey, and forward Brendan Gaunce.
